AI Integrations: Use ProjectManager with Claude and ChatGPT
Connect ProjectManager to ChatGPT or Claude and bring your live project information into the AI tools you already use every day.
Instead of copying information between applications, your AI assistant can access your ProjectManager projects, tasks and team information when you need it. You can ask questions about your work, use existing conversations and documents to plan new work, then turn those plans into real projects and tasks without leaving the chat.
This feature is gradually being rolled out in Q3 2026
Why Connect ProjectManager to Your AI Assistant?
AI tools are most useful when they have the context needed to help with real work. Connecting ProjectManager means ChatGPT or Claude can combine the work you're already doing in a conversation with information from your ProjectManager account.
For example, you can:
- Ask what's due this week and who is responsible for it.
- Review your own workload across multiple projects.
- Find project details, team members and tasks without opening another app.
- Turn plans developed during an AI conversation into projects, tasks and subtasks.
- Assign work, add dates and priorities, and organize task hierarchies.
- Update task statuses and priorities as work changes.
- Access files attached to projects and tasks when additional context is needed.
This makes ProjectManager part of the workflow you're already completing in ChatGPT or Claude, rather than a separate place where you need to manually recreate the result afterwards.
How It Fits Into Your Existing AI Workflows
The biggest benefit isn't simply asking AI questions about ProjectManager. It's being able to continue work you've already started in ChatGPT or Claude.
Professional Services Pre-Sales
Upload a new RFP to Claude and ask it to review the requirements, identify risks and help build a realistic delivery plan. Once you have a clear approach, ask Claude to create the project in ProjectManager, including the tasks, subtasks, dates and priorities. You can then refine the project with your team and use it as part of the conversation with your prospective customer.
Construction Project Manager
Use Claude to review site notes, meeting minutes or a progress report, then ask ProjectManager for the tasks due on the job this week. Claude can help identify anything requiring attention and create follow-up tasks or adjust priorities based on the issues you've just discussed.
Manufacturing Project Manager
Use ChatGPT to work through a new production initiative, engineering change or process improvement and develop the work into a practical implementation plan. When the plan is ready, ask ChatGPT to create the tasks and subtasks in ProjectManager, assign the appropriate team members and add priorities and dates.
Professional Services Consultant
Use ChatGPT to review notes, documents or client requirements during your normal working day, then ask ProjectManager what work is currently assigned to you across your client projects. As priorities change, you can update task statuses and priorities from the same conversation instead of switching between applications.

We're starting with a focused set of capabilities and will expand what you can do through AI integrations over time.
Connect ProjectManager to ChatGPT
ChatGPT packages connected apps such as ProjectManager through its Plugins Directory. You can access the directory from the Plugins section in the ChatGPT sidebar or from Settings > Plugins.
Set Up the ChatGPT Plugin
- Open ChatGPT on the web or desktop app.
- Open Plugins from the sidebar, or go to Settings > Plugins.
- Search the Plugins Directory for ProjectManager.
- Open ProjectManager and select Connect.
- You'll be redirected to ProjectManager to authorize the connection.
- Sign in using your normal ProjectManager login method.
- Review the requested access and approve the connection.
- You'll be returned to ChatGPT with ProjectManager connected.
ChatGPT's connection flow uses OAuth to authenticate the underlying app. Availability can depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings. In managed ChatGPT workspaces, an administrator may also need to make the app available to your role before you can connect it.
Use ProjectManager in a ChatGPT Conversation
Once connected, you can add ProjectManager to a conversation in the following ways:
- Type @ProjectManager in your prompt and select ProjectManager.
- Select +, then More, and choose ProjectManager from your available plugins.
Then ask for what you need in normal language.
For example:
@ProjectManager show me the tasks assigned to me that are due this week.
Or continue from work you've already completed in the conversation:
@ProjectManager take the delivery plan we just created and create the project, including the tasks and subtasks.
When ChatGPT is about to make changes in ProjectManager, such as creating or updating work, it may show an approval request before completing the action. The exact approval behavior depends on your ChatGPT app permissions and workspace configuration.
If You Can't Find or Connect ProjectManager in ChatGPT
If ProjectManager doesn't appear, or Connect is unavailable, check whether your ChatGPT plan and workspace support the integration. For managed Business, Enterprise or Edu workspaces, your ChatGPT administrator may also control which apps and actions are available to you.
Connect ProjectManager to Claude
Claude calls external app integrations Connectors.
You can find connectors directly from a Claude conversation by opening Search and tools > Add connectors, or through Claude's Connectors Directory.
Set Up the Claude Connector
- Open Claude on the web or in the Claude Desktop app.
- In a chat, open Search and tools.
- Select Add connectors.
- Search for ProjectManager.
- Select ProjectManager and click Connect.
- You'll be redirected to ProjectManager to authorize the connection.
- Sign in using your normal ProjectManager login method if required.
- Review the requested access and approve the connection.
- Return to Claude. ProjectManager is now available as a connector.
Claude uses an OAuth authentication flow for remote connectors, allowing you to grant Claude access without sharing your ProjectManager password with Claude itself.
Use ProjectManager in a Claude Conversation
Once connected, simply ask Claude to use information from ProjectManager or perform an action there.
For example:
Show me the ProjectManager tasks due on the Riverside Construction project this week and highlight anything high priority.
You can also continue from work already happening in the conversation:
Create the project plan we just developed in ProjectManager and organize the work into tasks and subtasks.
Claude automatically manages connector access for most conversations. If you want to check that ProjectManager is available in a particular chat:
- Select the + button in the lower-left corner of the conversation, or type /.
- Open Connectors.
- Make sure ProjectManager is available for the conversation.
Claude also provides Tool access controls that determine how connectors are loaded and used in individual conversations. Auto is the default and lets Claude choose the appropriate connector based on what you're asking it to do. Once a remote connector has been connected to your Claude account, it can be available across supported Claude surfaces without configuring the connection separately on each device.
If You Can't Find or Connect ProjectManager in Claude
Remote connectors are subject to Claude plan and organization settings. If you're using a managed Team or Enterprise account and ProjectManager isn't available, your Claude workspace owner may need to enable access before you can connect your account.
Your ProjectManager Permissions Still Apply
Connecting an AI assistant doesn't give you additional access to ProjectManager.
ChatGPT and Claude operate using the ProjectManager account you authenticated with, so the projects, tasks and information available through the integration are based on what that user can access in ProjectManager.
This also means you can use the integration with your own account without giving the AI assistant a separate ProjectManager password.
Tips for Getting Better Results
You don't need to learn special commands. Describe the result you want in normal language and provide the same context you would give a colleague.
A few useful approaches:
- Be specific about the project. For example, “Show me overdue tasks on the Riverside Construction project.”
- Use the conversation you've already built. After reviewing a document or developing a plan, ask the AI assistant to turn that work into ProjectManager tasks.
- Ask before acting when appropriate. For larger changes, you might first ask the AI assistant to show you the proposed task structure, then ask it to create the work once you're happy with it.
- Build workflows across your tools. ProjectManager can become the project execution step in a broader AI workflow involving documents, emails, research or other connected applications.
The goal is to spend less time transferring information between tools and more time using the work you've already done to move projects forward.
