[Learn more.](http://app.projectmanager.com/go/pricing)* In ProjectManager, you can log hours directly within a project view (Gantt, board, list, or calendar) or via the Timesheet. Use the Timesheet if logged hours require approval or if you need to run a [timesheet report](https://learn.projectmanager.com/how-to-pull-a-timesheet-report) — this also lets team members submit time for manager review. Otherwise, team members can log hours in their preferred project view, and all logged hours will be visible across the software. ### **Within the Project** You can log hours in the Gantt, board, list, or calendar view of a project. To get started: 1. In the left menu, under **Portfolio**, click the project name to open it. 2. Navigate to your preferred view (Gantt, board, list, or calendar). If you are logging hours on the Gantt, locate the **Actual Hours** column. Type the number of hours you want to log, then click **Add** and **Save**. You can log hours for yourself or for another team member. If you're logging hours on the board, list, or calendar, click the task to open the task card. Enter your hours in the **Hours** field — they will be saved automatically. Your remaining hours will also update automatically once time is logged.   **Time tracking is only available on Business and above.** **Need access? [Upgrade your plan today.](http://app.projectmanager.com/go/pricing)** ### **Using Timesheets** To log hours using the Timesheet, navigate to the [**Time**](https://learn.projectmanager.com/how-to-view-a-timesheet) page from the main navigation. If your Timesheet is blank, populate it using one of the following options: - Click **Autofill** to automatically add all tasks assigned to you for the current week. - Click **Copy Last Week** to carry over the tasks you logged hours for during the previous week. - Click **Add Tasks** to manually add tasks that aren't assigned to you, or to log time for administrative work such as meetings. Once your tasks are on the timesheet, type your hours in the cell for the date you want to log time against. When you are finished, click **Save** to save your progress, or click **Submit for Approval** to send your timesheet to your approver for review.
