How to Use Zapier
Zapier is a tool that lets you integrate ProjectManager with thousands of apps including Jira, GitHub, Microsoft Office and more.
You can view all of the apps that we integrate on our Zapier Integrations page here. You'll first need a Zapier account and your ProjectManager API key to set up the integration.
To check whether ProjectManager is compatible with another app, search for that app by name on the ProjectManager Zapier landing page.
Who is Zapier for?
Zapier is a practical solution for teams looking to connect ProjectManager with apps that are not natively supported, particularly when direct API development resources are not available. Please check our pricing or plan details page to confirm which editions include Zapier access, as availability may have changed. Customers can set up their own integration connections directly at Zapier.
What does the ProjectManager Zapier integration include?
- The ProjectManager Zapier integration includes triggers for project, task, resource, and timesheet changes, plus actions to create, update, search, and fetch projects, tasks, users, and timesheet entries.
Available triggers:
- New or updated projects
- New or updated tasks
- New or updated resources
- New or updated timesheet entries
- Available actions:
- Create or update projects, tasks, users and timesheet entries
- Search projects, tasks and users with various filters
- Fetch the details of a specific project, task and user
- Fetch and update task custom fields
- Dynamic fields such as project status, task assignee and user team display in a dropdown with live options from your account, so you don't need to enter an ID
- Multi-select fields are supported, including task assignees and user skills/teams
- Watch for new tasks in a specific project, not just all projects
Let’s take Salesforce as an example. Once searched, you can see all of the triggers and actions for ProjectManager and Salesforce. You can see common use cases for that integration such as creating a new project in ProjectManager when an opportunity is created in Salesforce.

You can see all triggers and actions at the bottom of the page. To create the Zap, select your trigger and action and click Connect. In this example, a new opportunity in Salesforce is the trigger and creating a new project in ProjectManager is the action.

Once you click Connect, you'll be guided to authenticate and configure the trigger and action you selected (for example, specifying which Salesforce opportunity details map to your new ProjectManager project). You will need to connect your ProjectManager account and your desired app to Zapier for the integration to work correctly.
How do I find my ProjectManager API key?
Paste your API key into Zapier to connect your account. If you haven’t connected ProjectManager to your Zapier account, you'll be prompted as part of the integration setup process. Once your integration is connected, you can manage the connection from your Zapier homepage.
