Track machinery or subcontractors via resources with no role

Creating a user with no role allows you to assign them tasks without giving them access to the software. Here's a visual step-by-step overview.

When inviting a user, select None as the role. This will:

Make their email optional
They won't be able to log in
They won't consume a license

You can also change an existing user's role via the Manage Resources page.

Even though these users can't log in and submit timesheets, you can assign them tasks and record hours on their behalf via the Actual Hours popup (which you can access from the Gantt, sheet or task card views):

Note: You won't be charged for assigning a "none" role within the account!
