Release 146, Azure DevOps Integration

Teams using Azure Boards for development work can now connect their projects directly to ProjectManager. This enables unified tracking across delivery, planning, and reporting without forcing developers to change tools.

Released on 10 November 2025

After enabling DevOps on the Integrations screen, when create a new project you'll have an option to start with an Azure Board. There are two different modes to choose from:

  1. One-time Copy from Azure Boards
Work items from Azure Boards can be pulled into a selected ProjectManager project. Each work item becomes a task in ProjectManager, carrying over key details (title, description, status, assignee, dates, and more).
  2. Two-way Realtime Sync with Azure Boards
Azure Boards work items are imported into a ProjectManage project and then changes are kept in sync over time - ideal for monitoring developer progress over time and viewing their work in the usual ProjectManager dashboards and reports.

In both cases you can choose to copy/sync an entire project or just a specific epic. Learn more about this integration here.

We also added some powerful new automation options:

  • When creating a template, you have the option to include the project workflow and automation rules.
  • We have new automation actions so you can notify the project manager, assignees, or assignees of linked tasks.
