Release 148, Risk Automation

Introducing a new Automated print setting to support printing and zooming of larger plans. Plus, Teams using automations can now generate Risks with any number of trigger options.

Released 12 January 2026

Automation Enhancements - Create Risk

Now you can let our automation engine create risks based on any number of triggers. This feature requires the relevant permissions to access Automations. Risks and Automations are available in the Business plan and above.

Risks created via automation will be assigned based on the option you choose:

  • No assignee

  • Project Manager

  • Task Assignees (mirrors the triggering task’s assignees)

The created risk will have:

  • Name: Based on the original task and creation date

  • Description: Indicates the risk was created via automation, with a link to the source task

  • Impact: Derived from the task’s priority (from Low through Critical)

Some ideas for Risk generation via Automation are to track status and priority changes, project delays or cost overruns, and you can assign them via automation too.

You can also combine Risk creation and assignments with automated custom notifications, for example to auto-create a risk based on a delay to the task's start date, and then notify the project manager that this has occurred.

There are endless ways you can leverage our new Risk creation automation features to ensure timely risk management, constant progress monitoring and seamless project delivery.

New "Automatic" Gantt Print Setting

Some customers previously experienced readability issues when printing Gantt charts for larger plans, as content was scaled down to fit a fixed page size, resulting in very small text in the generated PDF. We have introduced a new auto-scaling setting which automatically increases the page size based on the chart content.

This allows users to generate clearer, zoom-friendly PDFs and, if required, print the output across multiple pages using Adobe or other PDF tools.

New Layout Option: Automatic

This option, when selected, removes the page size dropdown and “Fit” options. This setting generates a high-res view of the entire plan as PDF which can be printed at any scale or zoomed in for cut and pasting into other documents.

Getting a large plan printed at scale with multiple 8.5 x 11 pages requires Acrobat’s “Poster” size and scaling settings or another PDF tool that supports this option.

See this article for a guide to recommended print settings.

There are additional improvements we are offering with this release, including:

  • Fixed an issue where closed project tasks were appearing in Home views.
  • Fixed an issue where recurring meetings were not performing correctly.
