Using cut, copy and paste

  • An external source

  • One project to another

  • One row to another within the same project

What happens when you copy a summary task?

If you cut or copy a summary task, the summary task (and all of the subtasks) will be highlighted. In addition to the task name, all of the task data that has been input will be cut as well. You can paste tasks using the ribbon bar or a keyboard shortcut.

Are blank rows preserved when pasting?

If your project includes blank rows, or you paste from an external source that includes blank rows, the blank rows will be retained on pasting the row.

Is there a limit to how many rows you can copy in sheet view?

If you're working in the sheet view and need to copy tasks, keep in mind thatIf you're working in the sheet view and you need to copy tasks, keep in mind that you can only select and copy a limited number of rows at a time (refer to the in-app notification for the current limit). You'll see this popup appear.
